Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal on Wednesday lashed out at the INDIA bloc, accusing its leaders of making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra. He asserted that the people of Bihar and the entire nation would “never forgive them.”
Jaiswal said the comments by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress leaders had crossed all limits of political decency. “They hurled abuses at the mother of the Prime Minister, and even after that, they neither expressed regret nor apologised. Such conduct will never be forgiven by Bihar or the country,” he told ANI.
Condemning what he called “cheap politics,” Jaiswal stressed that targeting the family of political opponents was unacceptable and reflected desperation within the alliance. He said there could be “no bigger sin than abusing the late mother of the Prime Minister.”
His remarks came after PM Modi, addressing an event in Bihar, strongly criticised the opposition for the insult. The Prime Minister said the abuse was not just against his mother but an affront to all mothers, sisters, and daughters of India.
Modi also attacked the Congress, saying the party has “never tolerated backward or extremely backward people moving ahead” and accused its leaders of treating power as their family inheritance. He praised the women of Bihar for playing a key role in defeating the RJD, adding that they continue to be the target of opposition anger.
